In January 2018 I started volunteer work for the Brisbane Jazz Club.  This is a quirky and iconic Brisbane club located on a million dollar riverside site directly opposite Brisbane CBD.  It is open on Thursday to Sunday evenings each week and features a variety of jazz musicians from all over Australia and the global jazz community.  It provides high quality, low cost entertainment with old world charm and a spectacular view of Brisbane city at night.

I volunteer at the club about twice per month and do the pre performace preparation of the club facilities and post performance clean up.  It is most enjoyable and also provides me both with free entertainment plus two free tickets per volunteer session.  This is a wonderful benefit which I can share with family and friends.

I also join the maintenance team each Tuesday morning for a few hours.  We do various maintenance tasks from painting to cleaning and general facility improvements around the club building.
