Over many years, I have been involved with a small community group called the Clean Up Brisbane Group. Our mission is to reduce the amount of litter and garbage in public areas and, in particular, the Brisbane River Mangroves. The group is open to all. Events are published on www.facebook.com/clean up brisbane (always on Sundays at times coinciding with low tide for mangrove clean ups).
